RITaK final conference
27 - 29 November
The members of the Leibniz Graduate School RITaK cordially invite you to their final conference. Together with well-known guest speakers from the local region as well as from France, England, Qatar and the United States, our graduates will discuss current aspects and research questions relating to our major themes: the extraction, processing and distribution of raw materials. How did the exchange of raw materials and goods, but also of technical and mining-related knowledge work? What influence did access to raw materials have on socio-economic developments? What sort of economic infrastructures were in place? The presentations take the audience to an Early Bronze Age copper mine in Jordan, to Phoenician-occupied Spain with its rich natural resources, or into the Westphalian Hellweg zone, where Germanic tribes carried out metal recycling.
The registration is open until 13 November 2014
