Friends of the museum VFKK
The Vereinigung der Freunde von Kunst und Kultur im Bergbau e. V. (VFKK) is a registered non-profit association founded in 1947, as the support body of the Deutsches Bergbau-Museum Bochum.
It combines people from numerous different countries in Europe and overseas, who feel a connection to mining and its traditions, and who have a scientific and academic interest in mining and its history.
According to its statutes, the purpose of the association is the preservation, promotion, cultivation and dissemination of mining art and culture. It supports adult and vocational education, as well as scientific research, especially through events and publications in areas connected to mining history.
