The mining history collection comprises archaeological and ethnographic artefacts related to mining history from all over the world. Most come from the DBM’s own excavations and fieldwork. They include ceramics, ingots, flint artefacts and miners’ tools (such as grooved hammerstones), as well as samples of slag, ore and rock. The collection also contains recreated copies of important find groups.
